A native Californian, Larrew grew up in NoCal, but moved south at the age of 19. She earned her BFA with honors from Art Center College of Design in Pasadena.  After graduation, she ran her own design studio for several years and later owned and operated Blue Five Art Space.   She has focused on being an active supporter of the Southern California art scene for several years, an impresario supporting many artists through collection, curation and exhibition. Nancy’s inherent creativity and sense of humor was fostered by an imaginative extended family.  A father who liked to invent things, a mother who was a newspaper columnist and painted landscapes with nail polish, and a grandmother who nurtured her artistic side all contributed to her expressive upbringing. Family and community are an important part of her practice and the perfect backdrop for her artwork.
